In 1978, I bought a 73 Maverick 2 door....had the 302, the Luxury Decor package and just about every option they had back then, the rear defroster wasn't wires in the rear window- it was a fan with a heating element.

I remember it had what was almost shag carpet. It was powder blue with a tan interior.....man I wish I still had that car.

I think it was derided as crap within ten years, but 30 years out it really starts to look damn good in retrospect. Huge bang for the buck, well sorted, really more of a Mustang than the Mustang II was.
